Lynch Repeat Winner
July 23, 2010 Sarver, Pennsylvania: The dog days of summer beat down on the Action Track for a hot and muggy Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing as the fine folks from Thoma Meats were on hand as the weekly sponsor. Ed Lynch Jr. recovered from a brutal Silver Cup to win his third Ti22 Sprint feature of the season.
The front row of Rod George and Ed Lynch Jr. has a combined total of 145 wins at Lernerville Speedway. George got a great jump and won the drag race to turn one but slid up the banking in turn two to open the door for Lynch, who piloted to the bottom of the backstretch and into the lead entering turn three. Once out front, “The Apollo Rocket” blasted to his third win of the year and 104th of his legendary career. After the terrible luck that haunted him Tuesday night, Lynch left no doubt as he lapped up to fifth-place.
Crossing behind Lynch and George, the race for third was great as Danny Holtgraver, Carl Bowser, Dan Kuriger, and Scott Priester had a battle which lasted 15 laps and resulted in Holtgraver third, Bowser fourth, Kuriger sixth and Priester seventh. Last week’s winner Andy McKisson crashed the four-car party in the closing laps to finish fifth.
Friday, July 30 marks the return of the DIRTcar Challenger Sprint Series with a second $2000-to-win show as an added bonus to Fab Four Racing sponsored by Car Brite and Valvoline.
